If you want NYC skyline views from a distance, Jersey City is the place to be, and if you want to get married with the NYC skyline as your ceremony backdrop, Hudson House is the perfect wedding venue. Hudson House not only offers breathtaking views but also has a sleek, modern interior that makes for an effortlessly luxurious event. Sydney and Matt began their day getting ready at the beautiful W Hotel in Hoboken, which perfectly complemented the modern and elegant vibe of their wedding. I’ve had the chance to shoot at Hudson House multiple times, and every single experience has been amazing. The combination of stunning views, elegant design, and incredible energy always makes it a joy to photograph here.

A Ceremony with a Skyline Backdrop

Sydney and Matt’s wedding was pure magic. They said their vows during a beautiful outdoor ceremony, with the NYC skyline shimmering in the background. The natural light and open-air setting created a warm, romantic atmosphere for the ceremony. It’s moments like these that make me love being a Jersey City wedding photographer. Capturing the couple’s emotions with such an incredible view behind them was truly special.


Details That Elevated the Day

Sydney and Matt leaned into the modern aesthetic of Hudson House by keeping their decor simple yet chic. They chose a timeless monochrome color palette, with their wedding party dressed in sleek black attire, bouquets featuring classic white florals, and decor infused with a beautiful fall color palette. The result was a look that felt elegant, and perfectly suited to their personalities and the venue’s clean design.

The reception was so much fun! Sydney and Matt’s guests enjoyed wonderful food, heartfelt speeches, and an unforgettable dance floor.

As an NJ wedding photographer, my favorite part of any wedding is telling the couple’s story through photos.
